1st and 2nd Grade Learning Community

In our 1-2 learning community we celebrate each individual’s uniqueness. Flexible space and groupings are carefully utilized to meet each student where they are academically, socially, and emotionally. We strive to challenge every student, while placing an emphasis on our young learners gaining a student-led independence and helping them find their voices through collaboration and friendships. In our huddles, we focus on social and emotional learning and integrate these important skills throughout our day. A look into our learning community will reveal movement, engagement, a focus on early literacy foundational skills and dynamic groupings, as students learn not only the core subjects, but also engage in project based learning and passion projects.
