Meadowlark Instructional Data

 

Here is a short list of our major accomplishments from the 2021-2022 school year:

Academics

  • First year with Data Driven Instruction as a systemic process

    • Hired Mrs.  Boshinski as our Data Coach and fully embarked on our Data Driven Instruction journey

    • Successfully implemented our Measures of Student Learning on staff evals and all teams met or exceeded expectations

    • Began using AIMSWeb used to progress monitor and adjust instruction

    • Implemented targeted interventions for all struggling readers

Social Emotional

  • Purposefully rebuilt our community as we reunited after COVID protocols

  • Recommitted to purposeful and mindful SEL to support students with the return to in-person learning

  • Increased our focus on equity, diversity and inclusion

    • Multicultural literature books in the classroom

    • Culturally Linguistically Responsive Leadership Team

      • Began revisiting and refining our school-wide expectations and values (SPIRIT) through the lens of equity and inclusion

  • Weekly positive staff and student celebrations, end-of-year celebrations, assemblies

  • Community building events: Back to School Bash, Dine Out Nights, Full Circle Everest Assembly, 1st Annual Meadowlark Gala, Mav Mile, Tibetan dancer assembly, and Mav Field Day

Academic Achievement

We established ourselves as a very strong academic community. High achieving schools typically have 85-90% of students in the proficient or advanced range. We are looking forward to seeing our CMAS data in August! We will continue striving for 100% proficiency. 

 

Academic Growth

Studies on the highest achieving schools and districts show that they typically have 75% of their students make their annual growth goals. The expected annual growth on iReady is 100%. Our median student growth at Meadowlark was 145%! We had 79% of our students meet their annual growth goal!

Amanda Boshinski

Instructional Data Coach, 5-8 Compacted Math Teacher
Meadowlark School

Amanda is originally from Montrose, Colorado. She moved to Boulder to go to school and to experience the "big city". She received her B.A. from Metropolitan University and her M.A. of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Colorado at Boulder. She has taught both 4th and 5th grades. In her spare time she enjoys reading and being outdoors with her three active boys and her husband. Other passions include traveling, playing sports and vintage/antique shopping.
