Kari is from Minneapolis, MN. Before moving to Colorado in 2008, she lived in Chicago IL, where she received her Bachelor's in General Studies (with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology) from Roosevelt University. She completed 12 credit hours of Master's credits in Early Childhood Education at Roosevelt University before transferring to the University of Colorado where she completed 12 credit hours in the Master's of Educational Psychology program. She has been working with children for over 20 years as the Director of a childcare center, as a preschool teacher at CHALK Preschool Chicago and as a teacher at University of Colorado Children's Center for 10 years. In her spare time, Kari likes to hike, bike, ski, lift weights, spend time with her husband and 2 young boys and travel.
